Big Sale Has Started - UPDATED 07-31-25 (01 Apr 2025)

As some of you know my dad passed away 2 months ago today, on May 31, 2025. I posted it in the Members Only section when it happened. Thanks to all of you who have offered kind words on the forum, with phone calls, and visits in person during this time.

The Big Sale is on but not like originally planned, it is a by appointment type of thing now. I don't have the manpower, or the desire to do a big event like originally planned, I just need to sell a lot of parts that are taking up too much space here. I have been told and believe we are overloaded with Wheel Horse parts like no one has ever seen. Peeps have already been coming in from different parts of the country and buying a lot of stuff due to seeing the sale page, and seeing we are the only Wheel Horse only business in the USA that does things on the scale we do. The sale will continue for awhile until I free up some more space but you may not want to wait too long as things are being sold every day and there are limits to how many of certain parts will be sold.

As it says on the page it is still under construction and the page isn't finished yet. I've had a ton of calls for parts and the Big Sale Page may help answer some questions about what is here before peeps call. I hope that page is also clear that we DO NOT SHIP anything... This is a by appointment type of thing now. Be sure to call before you come to make sure the day isn't already full with peeps scheduled to come in, and make sure what you want is still available.

Finished taking the B-80 apart today in between other things. Another bit of nice parts and a frame with no cracks and all the brackets on it.  Everything was on it minus the motor in the beginning, every part on it was good, and it came apart pretty easy with no torch needed.

I think there are 6 or 7 more frames in the lot I may try to do next and get them out of the way.  After that I can steam clean them all and put them on a pallet in one of the garages.

Rainy or monsoon days like today are days I can get more done in the shop.  A lot more parts from the parted out stuff got blasted today and ready to put where they belong for the sale.

One of the belt drive pulleys had 5 part numbers on it, never seen that before.  One of the brake drums today had a lot of grooves on it so it got fixed on the lathe.

We will not sell junk or garbage parts, whether it be new or used like you get from a lot of places.  A lot of parts look good, until you clean them up and find massive pits, cracks, stripped out bolt holes, stuck roll or cotter pins, damage, etc, etc, etc.  Everyone knows what I'm talking about and has prob paid good money for garbage many times before...  Used parts from here are blasted, tested, resurfaced if needed, and ready for paint so you know what you're getting.  The new parts we make here are modeled from a NOS part (sometimes upgraded) and are always a perfect fit and function as well.

Mondays are always crazy but the big welding bench got almost cleared.  Spent a lot of time getting the RJ parts numbered, and everything else cast iron with part numbers on them put on a 6 tier rolling shelf for now.  It's taking a lot of time, started with the 58/59, 60, and 61 parts manuals and got most of it figured out.  Just got started and almost out of room in the parts dept, gonna have to make some time in the near future to expand it...

I think there's more parts here than I could ever imagine.

It was 77 and sunny today so some badly needed lot rearranging got done.  I found another frame and another pallet with 4 frames on it while rearranging.  I think that may be the last of the frames, I hope.

A B80 was parted out today and there are 2 more partial tractors and a frame in the shop that were started on late today.  As clogged up as this place is every tractor out of the lot is a big deal.

Spent yesterday steam cleaning a lot of the day, and parted out a frame from the lot I found last week while rearranging.  Another bunch of good parts ready to be blasted.  I also had a bucket full of pipe fittings from an old log splitter I bought with no motor and redid to use on a tractor many years ago that were sitting in the barn at the farm so they got cleaned up too.  The 3 point stuff, PTO cover, and tongue is for my Kubota.  It may not ever be used since I don't plan on ever taking the backhoe off, but you never know...

Spent some of the day blasting and cleaning up the parts that were steam cleaned yesterday.  For those who never saw how we clean up some damage on the lathe there are pics below.  One brake drum was a little to bad to save, but it's not like there aren't over 100 of them around here so it went in the scrap pile...

Started on 2 of them mentioned 2 posts ago the end of last week.  It was time to start another steam cleaning cart and start blasting some more.  The last 2 had good 4 speeds and looked great inside but both of them had the shifter set screws broke off flush with the housing.  They can be a real pain but they are out and new ones are in there.

Last pic is another pallet I dug out that was in the lot.  Guess I'm not done with the frames yet...

Good news is there's a lot more nice parts coming off of these, bad news is I'm running out of places to put them.

Finished the other short frame parting that was in the shop.  I don't remember seeing a belt tensioner arm/rod with the top guard at a 90 degree angle like in the pic so it had to come off, of course it came the hard way as usual.  Blasted more parts and put a lot of them where they belong, then started more blasting to fill up the cart again, what else is new...

All the frames from the parting so far went on a pallet and went outside this morning.  Most of the other parts are put up or on 6 tier shelves for now.  I needed to get started on a few 4 speeds that were stuck and see what good parts were in them.

One of them is already on the table wing and apart.  It was one that came up from the farm and was inside until a month or so ago.   All of the bearings are frozen but surprisingly all of the gears look good with no rust pits or damage that I can see, only some surface rust.  All of them are free and came right off the shafts as well.  I'll know more when everything is cleaned up and blasted.

Still working on more of the same.  Did some rearranging today and got 2 more frames in the shop to part out, that will do the majority of them, I think.  Every time I say that I find more of them...     One of them is another 701, seems like I have them all over the place.

Next week is gonna be really hot every day so I'll prob work on blasting and cleaning up some parts and taking some more transmissions apart after lunch every day next week.  The shelf unit is almost full of parts to steam clean again so that could be a morning job.  Maybe I'll even get caught up with most of the stuff in the shop next week.
