You may not need to change the exaust with a electric pto. Might be cheaper in the long run

You have a great point, do Kohlers and Onans use tapered roller bearings? I like the idea of an electric as it would save some modification and have a cleaner look.

I don't know how the design handles the side pressure....I do know the question ccomes up with repowers. Thought I would mention it.......

Isn't this engine supposed to have a ball bearing crankshaft? With plain bearings side loading would be a greater issue.

Yes is has roller bearings, but even roller bearings are not the best for side load. Being that its not a premium engine I don't think I will take the chance.

The exhaust will need to move out for hood clearance and I need to flip it and put the discharge on the front (currently facing operator)
